Alan Fletcher
Alan Fletcher is one of the most influential figures in post-war British graphic design. The fusion of the European tradition with North America’s emerging pop culture in the formulation of his distinct approach made him a pioneer of independent graphic design. Fletcher also developed some of the graphic schemes of the era : the identities of Reuters and the Victoria & Albert Museum, and made his mark on book design as creative director of Phaidon.
Identification
Critique
Alan Fletcher uses a lot of bright and vibrant colors in his work, which I like because it pulls attention to it. He also uses deeper or more emotional sayings/phrases in some of his works to pull at emotions in observers.
Reflection
TO make similar work to Fletcher's, I used a phrase thats quite known and somewhat emotional and painted it out and let it drip like he did in one of his works. I then took it in photoshop to put them all together and make it bright and vibrant.
